Bob Marley. We’d hang out on the beach and listen to relaxing music, what a great afternoon.

Saw a shark while surfing.

Matthew Jung

Currently CEO of Wellen; a care-free, classic, gentleman's surf brand located in Southern California that he founded in 2007. Wellen makes T-shirts, tank tops, swim trunks and is sold across the Unites States, Japan, Canada, the Caribbean and Europe.  He also started a brand, Grover, in 2010 focusing on men’s basics entirely made in Los Angeles that sells in premium retailers around the world. In the afternoons he spends his time as Director at BLAST, an experiential based after school program for kids with special needs.

Go-to getaway destination? and why?
Hawaii. Great surfing with friends. We also go with a bunch of people and cooking together and exploring the islands are a blast.

Favorite summertime drink?
Agave Margarita, rocks with salt.

Golden Road Brewery. Always support local.

Is there swell right now?

What was your scariest encounter?
Night dive in Catalina. When we turned our lights to the left to a small shark was three feet from our heads.

Having amnesia after a head injury. A whole week of my life was wiped clean.
